MEET PATTY
Patty Garcia was born and raised in the 4th District as the daughter of Mexican immigrants. She earned her doctorate in Educational Policy Studies from the University of Illinois and began her career taking on the Chicago machine and the powerful interests that protect it. Since then, Patty has worked extensively in voter engagement, and training thousands of leaders to run for office across the country. As Chief of Staff to Congressman Chuy Garcîa, Patty has helped secure over $50 million in federal funding for youth centers, hospitals, flood mitigation, and more.
Throughout her career, Patty has fought for the families of the 4th District to have access to the same opportunities that shaped her own journey from Little Village to the halls of Congress.
